In the second year of my basic studies we learned the basics of the different computer science subjects. All future "Kernfächer" were presented and one could have a look at them to make the later selection easier.

 

In this year we had the first real contact with "computer science" and one could use his creativity e.g. system programming was a special highlight.

Electro technics	Grundstudium	-	Very difficult. Mainly vector fields and multi dimensional integration.
Information and communication	Grundstudium	-	Way to complex. Difficult protocols and algorithms.
Distributed systems	Grundstudium	-	Interesting information about the different network protocols and topologies.
Theoretical Computer Science	Grundstudium	-	Interesting, but possible. But it was very theoretical
Informationsystems	Grundstudium	-	Easy, basics of databases
